In 2019 MATILDA MIA was sailed to Barcelona, Spain and the owner oversaw a complete refit and equipment installs. Mestral Marine, who consequently did composite work for Americas Cup boats, did the fiberglass work on MATILDA MIA.
The current owner has been living aboard for 6.5 years and has a background on large oil and gas rigs. Logistics and maintenance were his specialties, which meshes quite well with a larger cat such as this Lagoon 52.
Being a long term cruiser was the focus of the refit to include lithium batteries and solar array. This all does well with the Victron system with DC/DC chargers. Watermakers are most certainly a must and included too.
